Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with toxic bleeding or in shock, those with inflammation at the injection site or sepsis, and patients allergic to this drug or similar local anesthetics. It should be used cautiously in patients with central nervous system diseases, pregnant women, elderly patients, patients with severe hypertension, and patients with severe spinal deformities. When using this drug, symptoms of shock such as sudden blood pressure drop or facial pallor should be monitored closely, and if abnormal symptoms occur, use should be immediately discontinued, and appropriate treatment should be received. Rarely, severe symptoms of malignant hyperthermia such as high fever, muscle rigidity, arrhythmia, and respiratory distress may occur, so if such symptoms appear, administration should be stopped immediately, and specialized treatment is necessary. The drug may affect the central nervous system and cause tremors, seizures, drowsiness, anxiety, dizziness, and nausea, so any symptoms should be reported immediately. Allergic reactions such as skin rash or swelling may occur, so caution is advised. The risk of side effects may increase when used with vasoconstrictors, so patients with certain conditions or those with hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes should avoid or use vasoconstrictors with caution. Pregnant women should only use this drug when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been fully established. Elderly patients may experience stronger effects or be more prone to side effects, so dosing should be adjusted and their condition closely monitored. This drug should be administered cautiously to patients with impaired liver and kidney function, and due to potential drug interactions that may increase blood concentration, it is important to consult with healthcare professionals about other medications being taken. Long-term use at high concentrations may pose a risk of mutagenesis, so it is advisable to avoid high-dose long-term use whenever possible. When used as a local anesthetic, it is not suitable for surface anesthesia within the airway and should not be used for ophthalmic purposes. This drug should not be used in patients with severe cardiac conduction disorders or hypersensitivity, as it may affect cardiac function, requiring frequent monitoring of electrocardiograms and blood pressure during administration. If adverse reactions occur, notify healthcare professionals immediately to receive appropriate care.
