Prevention of infection in minor cut wounds and burns
This medication is used to prevent infections in skin lesions such as minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
The medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and light exposure. Additionally, it is recommended to store the medication at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This helps maintain the effectiveness of the medication and ensure safe usage.
This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this medication or have previously experienced allergic reactions, patients with a perforated eardrum, and use around the eyes should be avoided. Caution is advised when using this medication in patients with severe wounds or serious burns, as well as those with puncture wounds or animal bite wounds. While using this medication, allergic reactions may occur; if symptoms such as rash or itching arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a pharmacist or physician. Additionally, prolonged use may result in kidney dysfunction or hearing loss, and long-term use should be avoided. When using the medication, the prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and it should be used under the supervision of an adult when applied to children. If symptoms do not improve after using for 5 to 6 days, it is advisable to discontinue use and consult a specialist. Moreover, since this medication can cause allergic reactions, usage should be stopped immediately if symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, or blisters appear. As there is a risk of resistant bacteria or exacerbation of infection, appropriate treatment should be sought in case of any unusual symptoms. It is safe to avoid prolonged use on skin with extensive burns or ulcers.
When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place. Additionally, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the drug.
