Treatment of infections such as streptococcal infections.
This medication is effective against various bacterial infections and is used for skin and soft tissue infections such as boils, abscesses, and cellulitis. It also assists in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis, otitis media, and sinusitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis. It is utilized for urinary tract infections including pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urethritis, along with abdominal infections such as peritonitis, liver abscess, and typhoid fever. It is effective in treating various bacterial diseases such as scarlet fever, osteomyelitis, and intrauterine infections. This medication shows strong efficacy against major pathogenic bacteria such as streptococci, pneumococci, staphylococci, and gonococci to improve infection symptoms.
For adults and children weighing 20 kg or more, administer 250-500 mg (equivalent) of amoxicillin orally three times a day.
For children weighing less than 20 kg, divide the dose into three oral administrations of 20-40 mg (equivalent) per kg of body weight per day.
This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For instance, patients with a history of severe allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to this medication, patients with infectious mononucleosis, and patients with lymphocytic lymphoma should avoid administration if in injectable form. Additionally, patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or a family history of allergic conditions, patients with severe renal impairment, patients who have difficulty with oral intake or elderly patients, patients with heart failure, and patients with urinary tract defects or recurrent urinary tract infections should use this medication with caution. This medication can cause allergic reactions; therefore, during administration, symptoms such as fever, rash, urticaria, and difficulty breathing should be carefully monitored. Should these symptoms appear, use should be immediately discontinued, and medical consultation sought. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, as well as blood abnormalities, central nervous system symptoms, skin rashes, and signs of severe skin diseases may also occur, and any of these changes should be reported immediately. As it can affect liver and kidney function, regular examinations are necessary, and attention should be paid to maintaining adequate fluid intake and urine output during administration. Moreover, this medication may interact with other medications; caution is required when taking it alongside allopurinol, probenecid, oral contraceptives, specific antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory drugs. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication cautiously, and special care is also needed for children and the elderly. In cases of overdose, kidney damage may occur, so the prescribed dosage must be adhered to, and in the case of injectable forms, intrathecal administration is prohibited, and skin contact should be avoided. When using this medication, it is essential to administer it for only the minimum necessary duration to prevent the occurrence of resistant strains and to closely observe the patient's condition even after administration.
Urticaria, shock, urticaria from serum sickness-like reactions, severe allergic reactions, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, erythema and vesiculation of the skin and mucous membranes, pustules, tension, burning sensation, pain in the skin, jaundice, acute renal failure, aseptic meningitis, altered consciousness, severe edema, increased blood pressure, shock, difficulty breathing, asthma attacks.

This medication should be stored in a dry place to prevent moisture absorption. Since moisture can alter the components of the medication, it is important to always keep it in a sealed container in a cool and dry environment.
