Diet - A record of losing 7.5kg by walking 10,000 steps every day for 2 years
This issue of Health King is related to dieting.
A record of achieving a 7.5 kg weight loss through over two years of food reduction, without dieting, and walking 10,000 steps daily.
Although I am reaching my limits and trying to overcome the stagnation, I will document the results so far in writing.
======================================(My record)============
One day in July 2022, I casually discover the 10,000-step walking challenge.
Not knowing the concept of a challenge, I started to wonder, "Ten thousand steps? How long will it take?" and "Before I get older, a diet??" A question mark began to form. My primary goal is to start with "walking every morning for a year"!!
Starting from six o'clock the next morning, I will walk 10,000 steps, and by July 15th of this year, it will be my proud 2nd anniversary.
Of course, I walked through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, enduring heatwaves, cold snaps, wind, and typhoons. And of course, I was absent and missing nothing~
At first, I experienced fake illnesses, leg stiffness, hangovers after company dinners, having to wake up early, and so on... There were many things I disliked and found bothersome.
After ten days and a month, it becomes somewhat habitual, and mechanically at that time, I find myself standing in that spot.
Now, I walk every day without any discomfort, of course, covering at least ten thousand steps as a basic standard.
As a result, I have lost 7.5 kilograms of weight, and I haven't caught a common cold once, passing through all four seasons.
It wasn't easy to have no stones.
The second was the temptation to rest as an excuse and justification for self-rationalization.
Because it's raining, cold, hot, a typhoon, or windy... there must be countless reasons.
A single word I thought to myself: "If I take a day off, I can rest again afterward."
Then walking and dieting are a mess...
With such a simple concept, when it rains and typhoons rage, I even walk to find a parking lot.
Even when I go to celebrate Chuseok, Lunar New Year, or ancestral rites in the countryside, I always walk that same route at that same time in the morning.
Recently, I have upgraded to completing 3 kilometers in 30 minutes. It is not difficult to achieve, and I am steadily progressing with my walking results.
You know, there's this thing called dieting...
Ultimately, the goal is weight loss (diet), but if you use medication or artificially diet, there will inevitably be aftereffects such as yo-yo dieting, right?
As I mentioned above, I didn't make any dietary adjustments and lost 7.5 kilograms (my previous pants were so loose that they would spin around easily).
I recommend this method for dieting. It increases muscle and reduces fat, a win-win situation.
Completion of the 2nd anniversary in July this year, followed by the 3-year goal, 4-year goal...
I will try to walk energetically!!~

I have another concern now. During the first few months, I was losing weight, but since then, my weight hasn't increased, but it hasn't decreased either... (The doctor said my body fat is at 24, which is good, but I'm still somewhat overweight.) I found a post from someone on an online community, and it said that after a certain point, the body adapts to the exercise, so the weight stops decreasing. Based on my experience, that seems to be true.
So,,,
I am planning to add one more from the two options.
Using auxiliary devices and the hospital's support to reduce about 5 kilograms and maintain it through exercise
The other is to improve the quality of exercise... walking and running until you're out of breath...
Despite the heat, I am continuing with the running crew.
I'll go on a diet and get healthy~~ Let's do it~~

Oh.. the person who stopped while walking..
Want to know how not to stop?
It's simple.
Don't disrupt the timing. Stick to the scheduled times for summer and winter (I start work at 6 a.m.), and don't make excuses like it's too hot, too cold, or rainy... Should I take a day off just because of these excuses? Don't make judgments based on such reasons. If you rest, you'll want to rest again, and eventually it will be abandoned altogether. Don't judge; just do it daily like eating three meals—yesterday, today, tomorrow—day by day.
Good luck.
