They say breakfast is really important.
I am grateful to my mother for making sure I ate breakfast regularly even during middle and high school.
I also make sure the children eat something before they leave.
Children who eat breakfast tend to have higher life satisfaction, so it's good for mental health too.

A study has shown that children who skip breakfast tend to have lower life satisfaction.
A research team from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK studied the relationship between breakfast frequency and life satisfaction among 155,451 children aged 10 to 17 from 42 countries. Participants answered surveys about whether they ate breakfast and their level of life satisfaction.
According to the research findings, children who eat breakfast every morning had the highest life satisfaction score of 5.6 out of 10. In contrast, children who did not eat breakfast at all had the lowest life satisfaction score of 3.5, which also suggests the presence of potential socioeconomic factors influencing the results. The research team explained that skipping breakfast affects the brain's appetite and emotion centers, leading to increased excitement and anxiety, which can reduce quality of life.
Research author Dr. Lee Smith said, "Eating breakfast regularly helps you consume essential nutrients that support cognitive function and improves quality of life."
Meanwhile, if you want a healthy lifestyle, it is important to have a smart breakfast. It is good to consume about half a bowl of rice worth of carbohydrates in the morning and to eat protein-rich foods together.
This study was recently published in the international academic journal 'BMC Nutrition Journal'.
