hello.
A while ago, I was pouring hot water into a tumbler and it spilled all over my hand, which was really frustrating.
Because I poured boiling water over it...
It feels like I've been in cold water for a really long time.
I didn't know I needed burn treatment, so I just soaked it in cold water for a long time and left it for about a week, thinking it would get better on its own, but it really... hurt so much.
It's been a bitter, painful, and tearful week.
So, I ended up going to Yu Kyung Dermatology Clinic, run by an old female doctor, at Madul Station.
When you go in, it doesn't feel incredibly spacious, but it still feels small and cozy.
But still, there were a lot of people inside.
The doctor looked at my skin and said, "You're a little late..."
The doctor said that if the wound was this bad, it was a second-degree burn. He treated me and boldly removed the blisters. He said that removing them would allow new skin to grow and heal. He also comforted me, saying, "It's okay. It's over now," as I was in pain.
My skin is sensitive, so I was really impressed by how meticulously and delicately it was treated.
I think I went for treatment about 5 more times until new skin started to grow.
I didn't really think much of burn treatment, but I heard that if I don't get it treated, it could take longer.
From now on, if I get burned, I have to rush to the hospital.
If there had been a doctor who was so meticulous and skilled at treating patients, I would have gone to him without hesitation.
I've heard that even among dermatologists, those with a doctor's office tend to provide better treatment. They say a doctor's office is more specialized.
A dermatologist who helped me find out why I had this problem for 10 years!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the doctor who treated me.
From now on, I really need to take better care of my skin.
