I underwent a procedure to remove a hemangioma from my palm at Kyung Hee University Hospital in Dongdaemun-gu.
At first, while holding onto the subway handrail, it recognized when my finger touched a protruding spot on my palm.
It wasn't painful enough to go about my life if I just ignored it, and it didn't protrude much either.
Still, a lump appeared where there wasn't one before, and it kept bothering me.
Just in case, I visited a local dermatologist, but they suddenly told me to go to a big hospital.
I went to Kyung Hee University Hospital feeling a bit nervous, but they told me that as soon as they saw me, they knew what it was and would perform the procedure right away that day.
They say you just need to cut open the palm, take out what's inside, and sew it back up.
Since my palms are sensitive, the anesthetic injection seemed to hurt more than the incision procedure.
Since it was on my palm, the bandages and everything attached to the treatment site kept falling off, which was really inconvenient, but it did heal well.
I am relieved that it wasn't a major problem, but the procedure of cutting my palm remains a really painful and uncomfortable memory.
