The day I got my cavity filled at the dentist was much more nerve-wracking and focused than I'd anticipated. Lying in the chair, the light shining on my face made my body tense for no reason, and the mere sound of the machine felt like all my nerves were focused on my tooth. The dentist kindly told me, "It'll be over soon. Raise your hand if it hurts," but when the anesthetic injection actually went in, even the slightest sting made my heart pound. Still, the anesthesia took effect quickly, so I barely felt any pain, and the process of carving out and filling the cavity went more smoothly than I expected.
After the treatment, I looked in the mirror and saw my teeth neatly filled, which felt refreshing, and I thought, "I should've come sooner." My mouth felt a bit numb before the anesthesia wore off, but thankfully, it passed without any major discomfort. I was nervous about going to the dentist after so long, but once it was over, I felt much lighter and more relieved. From now on, I'll have the courage to go right away without delay if something seems even slightly out of place.
