I would like to introduce the dermatology clinic that gave me the highest satisfaction among the ones I have visited.
It's a dermatology clinic called Yonsei Ain Clinic in Jongno, Seoul.
The most important thing I consider before going to a dermatologist is skin care!
These days, dermatology is focused on aesthetics and procedures, but I think that a dermatology department is best known as a “place that specializes in treating skin diseases.”
So when you go to a dermatologist, you go to a dermatologist who focuses on skin diseases and general treatment.
Yonsei Ain Clinic is a dermatology clinic that provides both general treatment and surgical procedures.
As you can see in the picture, the dermatology clinic is very close to the subway station, so it is easy to find.
I liked that the interior was clean and comfortable.
The director is friendly and the staff at the desk are also friendly.
It's hard to find everyone at a dermatologist's office who is friendly.
And I visited a dermatologist because of an epidermoid cyst, and the most satisfying part was that the treatment was so thorough and thorough.
Unlike franchise dermatology clinics that focus on procedures, I trusted them because they provide thorough treatment.
This is a dermatology clinic that I was very satisfied with because the epidermal cyst was removed cleanly.
The location of the epidermoid cyst was not on the face, but on the arm.
I was thinking about whether I should go to a plastic surgeon or a neurosurgeon because of my arm.
When I went to the dermatologist because of itchy facial skin, I asked the director of the dermatology department about it and he said that it should be removed immediately if it is to this extent.
They said that cyst removal is possible at a dermatologist's office, so I should just remove it using the pinhole method.
Usually, epidermoid cysts = sebaceous cysts = skin cysts are removed by cutting the skin surface, taking out the lump pocket, tying it again, and then removing the stitches. However, the pinhole method is a method that makes a very small hole to minimize the area being cut and the scar, and takes out the cyst pocket through that hole.
*Arm epidermoid cyst status
I get cysts quite often, and at first I thought they were mosquito bites...
I knew right away that it was a cyst because there was a lump in the center of the skin, the surrounding area was swollen, and I could feel a lump inside.
Does it feel like there's one really complete pocket?
When I touched it with my hand, yellow pus came out and it was painful when I pressed it.
That day I went to get a prescription for anti-itch medication and went straight into the operating room.
Please lie down in the operating room and set up so that only the affected arm is visible.
They explained in great detail the size, depth, expected scar, etc. using ultrasound.
He said it wasn't as deep as it looked, so I should be able to get it out easily.
And then I got an anesthetic shot, but it was more painful than I thought, so I got it again...
But after getting the injection twice, there was no pain at all, but I could hear a scratching sound!!
Maybe because it was a pinhole method, it felt like I was scratching something rather than squeezing it.
It took a lot longer than I thought. About 15-20 minutes...?
After the surgery, miraculously, the dull pain completely disappeared.
Even after the anesthesia wore off, I didn't feel anything!
On the day of the surgery, I was instructed not to let it get wet and went back twice to get dressings.
After the cyst is removed, a dressing is essential.
After receiving the dressing twice, I was told that I could disinfect it myself at home, so I disinfected it with povidone.
Below is the process of fading surgical scars in order.
The black surgical hole slowly filled with new flesh.
My skin is originally a bit sensitive and it's on my arms, so I think it'll take some more time for the marks to completely disappear...
I am very satisfied as it was removed so cleanly!
If you are looking for a dermatology clinic in Seoul that is good at treating skin diseases as well as providing treatment, I recommend Yonsei Ain Clinic!
