Post-nasal congestion and rhinoplasty: a review of easier breathing after surgery
Have you heard of the inferior turbinate deep inside the nose?
I will share a review about my daughter's nasal congestion caused by allergies or rhinitis, and how her breathing became easier after nasal surgery for rhinitis.
I initially thought I just had a cold and my nose was blocked.
However, even after visiting the ENT clinic and taking cold medicine, my congestion remained congested, but even setting that aside, I struggled to breathe, which caused headaches and migraines.
Sometimes, I would deliberately lift my nose to breathe.
It's hard to breathe through my nose, so I try to breathe through my mouth, which makes my mouth dry and my throat often sting and hurt.
In the case of my daughter, it is a mucous membrane tissue called the inferior turbinate located deep inside the nose, which gently covers the nasal cavity and functions to filter the air and regulate humidity. When this tissue becomes thickened, swollen, or enlarged, the nasal passage narrows, making it difficult to breathe, which is called chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.
So, I was told I need to undergo a rhinoplasty with turbinate reduction surgery.
It is a surgery that involves removing part of the nasal concha to widen the space through which air can pass, allowing easier breathing.
My daughter's inferior turbinate is chronically enlarged, so medication alone could not alleviate her symptoms.
Therefore, the final choice was rhinoplasty for nasal congestion.
So, I visited Manghaeseong Ebin ENT, a specialized hospital for turbinate resection and rhinoplasty, and was informed about the ongoing difficulties with medication treatment, the surgical methods, and decided to undergo turbinate rhinoplasty.
Fortunately, in the past, surgery required local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on the case, but now, with advances in medical science, rhinoplasty for nasal congestion is performed by removing or trimming the enlarged parts of the inferior turbinate using a laser.
The recovery period for laser resection of nasal septum and rhinoplasty was faster than expected.
It was a moment when I experienced how free I could breathe after undergoing a rhinoplasty surgery for nasal septum resection and turbinate reduction.
People often joke that they just simply breathe, right?
Breathe easily and freely that easily
Breathing is a natural act, but I realize anew how difficult it has been for me to breathe through my nose all this time.
I felt grateful to be able to breathe comfortably.
I also experienced the disappearance of headaches after surgery and the feeling of clarity in my mind.
When I started breathing properly through my nose instead of my mouth, the dryness in my mouth and the occasional sore throat also disappeared.
Nasal septoplasty for hypertrophic turbinates, also known as rhinoplasty for rhinitis, goes beyond simple rhinitis treatment to include improvements in sleep quality, enhanced concentration, and reduction of headaches. These are highly positive reviews of rhinoplasty surgery for rhinitis.

- 02CommentsWhile Botox or fillers can help improve jaw muscles or facial lines, they are not methods to correct malocclusion itself. Since the appropriate method varies depending on the condition of the bite, it would be best to first identify the cause at a dental clinic and receive a consultation that distinguishes between cosmetic and functional improvements.501026.10.20
- 03CommentsWhether to receive Potenza alone or combine it with Juvelook depends on the cause of enlarged pores and your skin condition. Receiving both together does not guarantee better results; if your skin is sensitive or dry, it is important to choose based on factors such as irritation and recovery burden. Potenza is a procedure that uses microneedles and radio frequency energy to improve skin texture and pores, while Juvelook is a skin booster injected into the skin to stimulate collagen production. Although their goals may appear similar, their mechanisms of action differ. If pores and skin texture are your primary concerns, you can consult about starting with Potenza alone to assess the response. If you are concerned about loss of elasticity and fine skin unevenness along with enlarged pores, you can review whether combining it with Juvelook is suitable.791026.10.17
- 01CommentsScalp tattooing can reduce the white appearance of the scalp on the crown, creating the effect of fuller hair overall. However, since the dots may be visible up close when your hair is long, and there is a possibility of the color bleeding or discoloration, the practitioner's experience is crucial. If you are not currently experiencing hair loss, I recommend consulting to naturally fill in only the sparse areas rather than covering the entire area.501026.10.18
- 02CommentsSince the response to melasma varies depending on its depth and skin condition, it is difficult to say exactly how many sessions will be needed for improvement. If it is in the early stages, it is best to start treatment early, but I have heard that it is difficult to guarantee that it will completely disappear even after multiple Pico Toning sessions. Rather than deciding on the number of treatments right away, I recommend having a dermatologist confirm whether it is indeed melasma first, and consistently using sunscreen. I think it is better to proceed while monitoring your skin condition rather than undergoing treatments excessively.2333126.10.25

Rejuran and Juvelook help restore vitality by boosting the skin's natural regenerative power and elasticity. For hollow under-eyes, if you consult with a specialist and consider a gentle collagen booster or filler, you will be able to manage the issue step by step without feeling overwhelmed.2823126.10.10
