Cases where vision deteriorates again after a long period following LASIK

A friend who had LASIK surgery initially saw well after the procedure, but a few years later, their vision worsened again and they started wearing glasses.

I'm wondering if I really need to undergo LASIK again if my eyes don't improve after LASIK.

Is it a wise choice to just keep buying glasses continuously?

They say you shouldn't put a knife in your eye... I think that's right.
