Double eyelid surgery review

It's already been over 10 years since I had double eyelid surgery.

People even ask if I originally had double eyelid surgery.

The natural double eyelids were beautifully positioned.

However, in my early 30s, my eyelids keep drooping.

Especially, the sagging on the outer side of the eyes tends to worsen.

 

I foolishly participated in photo and travel clubs until my mid-20s and was very active outdoors, but I never even thought about applying sunscreen.

I don't wear makeup often, so my naturally thin skin has developed more blemishes and wrinkles.ㅠㅠ

 

I hated my eyes so much before getting married.

So, I went ahead with double eyelid surgery a few months before my wedding... Originally, I planned to perform the procedure using the buried suture method to restore my original double eyelids.

However... the doctor already mentioned skin aging in the late 30s.

Since the progress has slowed down, they said it's obvious that another surgery will be needed, and they recommended an incision surgery.

I absolutely hated the feeling of a knife on my skin.

I've never had any surgery other than LASIK.

You suddenly said you understood and would make the incision...

Well... my skin is thin and bruises easily...

Skin that recovers very slowly...

It takes more than half a year for the swelling to go down after surgery.

If I push myself too hard and get tired, my double eyelids swell up...

A few months after the surgery, the wedding photoshoot and the last hanbok photoshoot were both ruined. I was so exhausted that my eyes were a mess.

So, I had to redo the hanbok photoshoot on the wedding day ㅠㅠ

 

Honestly, I had double eyelid surgery with eyes that look like I did.

I don't know how many years I've lived...

I think it became somewhat more natural after about 3-4 years.

Still, when extremely tired, my double eyelids turn red and swell.

It's been over ten years now, so it doesn't swell anymore.

Still, there are some awkward parts.

 

The thing I regret the most is that at that time, my mom's coworker...

Because I heard that you did it so naturally well.

I went without even checking.

And even if I undergo surgery again according to my own judgment, I will just have it removed and reconsider later.

Everyone says it's natural now, but

Sometimes, when I feel tired, my eyes look unnatural.

Everyone knows double eyelid surgery well and does it really well.

I hope you do it at a place even if it's a bit expensive!

The double eyelid that I originally had has decreased by about half due to eyelid sagging. After 1-2 years from this point, it became even more unappealing.

This is snow taken about half a year ago in winter. Does it look natural??? It clearly looks like I had surgery on my eyes, so I sometimes regret it.
