Laser treatment

About 5 to 6 years ago, I developed a pimple-like bump, and I foolishly squeezed it with my hands, causing it to protrude outward. Since then, I kept touching and squeezing it, and it has become a raised, spot-like bump that looks unappealing. It's on the side of my face, and since it doesn't hurt, I keep delaying going to the dermatologist, but now it's gotten bigger, so I think I need to visit a hospital. Would laser treatment be possible? I'm scared now that I've decided to go.
