Gum has peeled off and is bleeding!

I brushed my teeth too hard and my gums started to peel.

I had cold symptoms, so I used a cover.

It looks too revealing and is not aesthetically pleasing.

I don't like it. How is everyone managing their gum health? Is there a way to care for it that matches the color of your teeth?
