Pain after wisdom tooth extraction

Hello.

I had my lower impacted wisdom tooth removed, and I didn't feel pain for about four days after the extraction, but after that, it started to hurt in the area where the wisdom tooth was removed.

It seems like I have pain from food getting stuck. It's been a week now, and I also had the stitches removed today. But earlier, while eating rice, I felt a numbness or tingling sensation under the tongue on the removed side and down to the lower jaw, and it was so painful that I couldn't finish eating.

Is it normal to feel this way during recovery? It's not that my gums hurt or anything, just a strange sensation.
