A few weeks ago, the dentist told me that after the check-up, I have one tooth that needs an implant, and suggested that I come in someday if it hurts, so I can have it extracted and get an implant. I used to think that implants were someone else's problem, but now it has become a matter directly affecting me. Fortunately, I have been good at maintaining my teeth (though the only real method is to brush well), so the cavity hasn't worsened to the point of needing extraction yet. The process is said to take about six months, so it seems like a challenging treatment.
