Youngest sibling's orthodontic treatment

My third-grade son, the youngest, has front teeth that are not perfectly aligned to the point of being noticeable. Is that the reason? It seems like he eats more on one side too. I want to get braces for him, but he's still too young, so maybe it's not the right time. I should ask the dentist during the next regular check-up about when he should start orthodontic treatment. Oh, I'm worried and concerned. I'm also worried that he might be teased when he gets a bit older.
