Is there a period of adjustment for pronunciation even after orthodontic treatment is finished?

I saw a review saying that it felt unfamiliar for a few days even after removing the device.

Could it be because the feeling in my mouth has changed?

I thought I would feel comfortable the moment I took it off.

For those of you who have experience with braces, what change did you notice first after removal?

I am also curious if there were any unexpected inconveniences.
