Concerns about GI replacement therapy and postpartum dental treatment
I was unable to receive X-rays while pregnant, so I had a temporary dental treatment using GI material, but it fell out after only two weeks. Therefore, I am wondering what alternative treatments are available and what material would be best after childbirth. I would like to hear your opinions regarding the effectiveness and safety of dental treatment.
Hello. I am currently pregnant, so I had my tooth temporarily filled with GI material because X-ray examinations are difficult. However, the material fell out after only two weeks, which has caused me a lot of concern. Since medical consultations and treatments are limited during pregnancy, I was wondering if there is a safe and effective alternative.
So, I am considering what treatments are available instead of GI, and which material would be appropriate for dental treatment after childbirth. While GI is convenient, I understand that it is temporary and has limited durability. Are there any alternatives that can be used during pregnancy and offer longer-lasting effects?
Also, since X-ray checkups become possible after childbirth, permanent treatment will likely be recommended. I am very curious about which material is most effective for dental health and durability. Resin? Ceramic? Or would other prosthetic treatments be better? Since the condition of my teeth can change during pregnancy and childbirth, I would also like to know what specific points I should pay particular attention to.
If anyone has had a similar experience or if any dental specialists have an opinion, I would be grateful for your advice regarding safety and effectiveness. During pregnancy, the health of both mother and baby is the top priority, so I have no choice but to be cautious when selecting treatment.
