Does the cost difference increase the sooner you treat cavities?

I was told at a recent dental checkup that I have a small cavity. Since I don't have any pain yet and it doesn't cause any inconvenience in my daily life, I'm debating whether I should get it treated right away.

The dentist said it is best to treat it early, but some people around me say it is okay to wait and see before getting treatment, so I'm confused.

I am particularly worried because I have heard that the longer cavities are left untreated, the larger the scope of treatment becomes and the higher the costs go.

Has anyone had any experience with cavity treatment?

How much did it cost to treat early-stage cavities?

Have you ever delayed treatment only to end up needing more extensive treatment?

Did you feel the difference in cost between resin, inlay, and crown?

How much the cost and duration increased if it went to root canal treatment

If I went back, I wonder if I would treat it right away

I am also curious to hear the experiences of those who received treatment while not in pain, just like me.
