For the past two or three months, I have occasionally experienced tinnitus and a feeling of fullness in my ears.
Recently, the symptoms have worsened, and when I fly on an airplane and experience pressure changes, I feel a muffled sensation in my ears and difficulty hearing, which lasts for several hours, along with dizziness. I visited the hospital, and I was told that my left ear's hearing ability has significantly decreased compared to my right ear.
According to the doctor's opinion, it is suspected to be Meniere's disease. This disease is not definitively diagnosable based on specific symptoms, and there is no clear cause or definitive treatment available.
He advised to watch out for stress, overwork, and insomnia, and mentioned that the symptoms are not yet severe, so we should monitor the progress and manage accordingly. After receiving a four-day medication prescription and feeling better while taking the medication, the symptoms have started to reappear.
This disease is serious, and when symptoms worsen, it becomes so debilitating that daily life becomes completely impossible.
I'm not quite at that level yet, but I worry about what might happen if it gets worse. If anyone has similar symptoms or has been diagnosed with this condition, please share how you usually manage it.
