I'll never forget the experience of receiving treatment for a broken bone at an orthopedic clinic. I fell while exercising and suffered a major impact on my wrist. At first, I thought it was just a sprain. However, as time passed, it became increasingly swollen and painful with every movement, so I went to the hospital with my parents. An X-ray revealed, much to my surprise, that it wasn't a crack, but a complete fracture. The doctor explained the condition and said I'd need a cast. While it was in the cast, it was uncomfortable, even when washing, but my friends were concerned and helped, which gave me strength. While receiving treatment, I realized I needed to be more careful and that it takes a long time for bones to heal. I've recovered a lot now, but I think that pain taught me the importance of safety.
