This is a small dental clinic located in the commercial area of ​​the Prugio Apartments in Tanhyeon 2-dong. The young dentist opened it when the apartment complex was built, and I've been going there ever since. My child and I both go there.

I've moved to a different area now. Even after moving, I always go to this clinic, not my local one, for any real treatment, except for checkups. This is because they're so honest and conscientious. Perhaps that's why not just the residents of this apartment, but also many people from other neighborhoods come here for treatment, just like me. ^^

 

 

The atmosphere is simple and cozy, like a dental clinic in an apartment complex.

Still, the apartment complex is only about four years old, so the facilities and interior are still clean and nice. It's not a large-scale dental clinic, but I actually think places like this thrive on word-of-mouth. It's uncomfortable and unpleasant to feel like you're in a hospital every time you go.

I think children and the elderly would enjoy this cozy, simple place. Of course, me too^^

 

 

Upon entering the dental clinic, you'll be greeted by friendly staff. The waiting area directly in front of the counter is small, but it's a comfortable space, rather than one that makes you feel nervous or intimidated by the dentist. Because many people live in apartment complexes, you can even meet and greet your neighbors in the waiting area.

 

 

You know? It's the first place you go when you have a toothache or something's wrong. It's where they take X-rays. Once ready, the patient is left alone, and they rotate 360 ​​degrees to take the images. Later, when you see the images, they end up looking like a skull.

 

 

Dental clinics were once portrayed as filthy paradises thanks to a program called "Zero Complaints." I was also horrified by the program. Since then, the first thing I always check when I go to the dentist is cleanliness. I thoroughly check to see if they use new, sterilized instruments for each patient, and if they constantly change gloves when treating multiple patients at once, making sure they're the same one they used on the same patient.

As expected, the young doctor at Tanhyeon Well Dental Clinic keeps things clean by changing gloves frequently, even though it's a hassle. Some dentists treat patients bare-handed because it's inconvenient, but this is definitely not the case.

 

 

The types and costs of crowns are mostly explained above. I had laminates on all four of my front teeth for about 1.6 million won. They broke twice, so I had them replaced with crowns at another dental clinic. Recently, one of them was slightly chipped, so I paid 500,000 won for the PFZ crowns recommended by this dental clinic.

 

 

Zirconia is all the rage these days. Its strength is so strong that it's often called "artificial diamond," despite being tooth-colored. However, its downside is that it doesn't offer the same translucency as natural teeth. While it's great for molars, it's a concern for visible front teeth.

So, I chose PFZ, which compensates for the shortcomings. This is a solid crown with porcelain over zirconia, yet looks like a natural tooth. It's now beautifully finished (arrow area), and I'm using it with great pleasure. The material is much smoother and better than the three front teeth I had before. ^^

 

 

Another time, I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth. During the final fitting for crown treatment, something went wrong, so I had to redo it three times. I ended up getting a gold crown for my wisdom tooth (arrow area).

But on the other side, the other dentist told me that the wisdom tooth I had at the previous dentist was misaligned, so I knew that food often got stuck. Most dentists know that they made a mistake, but they don't want to spend money and waste time getting another tooth made, so they don't admit to the mistake and just let it slide.

But this place did it three times. Of course, I wish they'd done it right the first time. But the doctor admitted his mistakes and did it again until he was satisfied. That must be really hard to admit. Even if they just let it go, just like I didn't realize my wisdom tooth was broken at the previous dentist, we probably wouldn't notice unless it hurts.

Anyway, the wisdom tooth I had treated here is fine and there's no food stuck in it. The wisdom tooth on the other side that I had treated elsewhere still has food stuck in it and is uncomfortable. I really have to use an interdental brush. ㅜ The wisdom tooth I had treated elsewhere was really big and it was at a well-known dental clinic, but the mindset is so different.

So I would recommend this place a hundred, a thousand times. I really do.

 

 

I'd like to write a detailed review of this place and give it a proper recommendation, but I'm having trouble taking photos inside the dental clinic because there are other patients there and they're receiving treatment. So, I'll just give you a description and recommend it.

And honestly, it's true that dental anesthesia injections are scary. Surprisingly, at Tanhyeon Well Dental Clinic, it didn't hurt at all. They gently applied the procedure in three sessions, and I could feel their meticulous attention to detail.

The explanations are very detailed and helpful. Besides the instructor, the other staff members are all very friendly. They're not just friendly, they're genuinely friendly. They welcome you so warmly that you can tell right away that it's your local dental clinic.

I really, truly hope that there will be more dentists like Tanhyeon Well Dental Clinic.

 

I've spent thousands of dollars on dental care. I've been to several places. Every time, I feel like they charge what they charge, and it's expensive. I don't think there are many dental clinics that are particularly conscientious.

But the teacher here is a really great person who is sincere and knows how to admit his mistakes.

Also, there's no overtreatment. Judging from other people's reviews, they seem to have a mindset of trying to save patients' teeth as much as possible. Even though saving patients' teeth might be less helpful in terms of dental costs.
