Experience with rapid response to enteritis at the Siheung City Nuga Pediatrics and Adolescent Clinic

I was worried because my child had diarrhea multiple times overnight and a fever of nearly 39 degrees Celsius, so I went to Nuga Pediatrics. My child was listless and showed signs of dehydration, so I was anxious. But after checking in, they immediately checked my temperature and oxygen saturation, which put my mind at ease. Dr. Yeom Yun-sik carefully auscultated my abdomen and throat, and asked me detailed questions about my recent food intake and whether I had any gastroenteritis. He explained that acute viral gastroenteritis was highly likely and emphasized the importance of managing dehydration.
Treatment included antipyretic suppositories and oral rehydration, and the child underwent rehydration at the hospital. The nurses talked to him and held his hand to help him feel less scared, so he was able to receive the treatment without much crying. He was also prescribed medication to relieve his abdominal pain, and the nurses provided detailed guidance on rehydration and dietary management methods for him to use at home.
What I liked about this hospital was that they first addressed my parents' concerns and quickly administered only the necessary treatment without requiring excessive testing. After the IV drip, my child's fever gradually went down, and after about two days, the frequency of diarrhea also decreased significantly.
