While running downhill, I lost control of my speed, misstepped, and fell hard. Suddenly, I felt my leg give out, and the pain spiked... It was so bad I couldn't even get up, so I got help from a friend I was working out with, and I went straight to the hospital. An X-ray revealed a fracture and a cast was needed. Honestly, I was devastated. It was even more frustrating because I had injured myself while working out. The cast treatment went faster than I expected, and they explained the bone condition and recovery period in detail. After the cast was applied, they instructed me to elevate my leg as much as possible and rest, and they also explained the precautions thoroughly. It was stuffy and uncomfortable at first, but once it was firmly fixed, the pain gradually seemed to decrease. I never knew downhill running could be this dangerous. For those who enjoy exercise, I strongly recommend that you always manage your speed well, especially on downhill sections.
