뇌가 실제 웃음과 가짜웃음을 구별 못한다는 얘기 들어본 거 같아요. 웃을일이 많이 없지만 그래도 웃으려고 노력은 많이 해야겠네요
A study published in Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being found that laughter yoga can actually improve well-being and reduce stress, which can benefit mental health.
Researchers at Istanbul University in Turkey divided 83 final-year nursing students into two groups: those who attended laughter yoga sessions (41 participants) and those who did not (42 participants). The 40-minute sessions, held over five weeks, included clapping, deep breathing exercises, and playful activities designed to induce laughter.
Regarding the choice of nursing students as study subjects, the researchers explained, “Nursing students often face high levels of stress due to the demands of rigorous academic programs and intense clinical training,” and “this increased stress can negatively impact mental well-being, leading to problems such as burnout, anxiety, and depression.”
The study found that the group that participated in the laughter yoga sessions showed significant improvements in well-being scores, with many students reporting feeling happier and less stressed after the sessions. Stress levels in this group also decreased, but there was no difference in perceived stress levels compared to the control group.
“The results highlight the potential of laughter yoga to support mental health,” said study author Professor Merve Altiner-Jaas. “You can plan a regular laughter yoga program to promote mental health and well-being,” he said.

I think this is the first time I've heard of laughter yoga.
Even if it's a forced smile, if you smile
Is this helpful?
If your stress is completely gone
I'm also curious about laughter yoga
