Furthermore, water-soluble vitamins aren't stored in body tissues, so they need to be taken regularly.

Fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E, and K, should be taken with meals containing fat to aid in fat breakdown. Therefore, fat-soluble vitamins can be taken at any time of the day, as long as they are taken with a meal containing fat.

 

Multivitamins typically contain both fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins. For fat-soluble vitamins, it's best to follow the rules and take them any time of day when you can eat a meal containing fat.
