Parents' cataract examination

The prevalence of cataracts is said to be 50% in those over 50 and 70% in those in their 60s.

If you are over 80, you can almost assume you have cataracts.

My parents are in their 80s, but they don't go for regular hospital check-ups.

I rarely go to the ophthalmology department.

Of course, you have presbyopia and say that your eyes feel blurry.

When I ask if they should go to the hospital, they just say it's because they're old or that it's okay. Wouldn't it be better to have them undergo regular eye examinations?
