I've compiled a list of procedures that are good to get done in your 40s — Get ready in advance before sudden aging hits.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, "When did I become like this?"

I looked it up, and apparently, people experience sudden aging once when transitioning from their 40s to their 50s.

They say that many people who didn't take care of themselves back then suddenly feel like they've aged a lot.

They say that people in their 40s still have regenerative abilities, so it is a time when the effects of the procedure become clearly visible.

I heard that if you just let this timing pass, it will be harder later, so I compiled some information.

Two major concerns of people in their 40s

① Decreased elasticity

They say that collagen decreases by 1% per year starting in the late 20s, and by 2% per year starting in the early 40s.

Since women in their 50s lose 30% all at once in the five years before and after menopause, I realized it is right to prevent it in advance.

② Wrinkles: Muscle wrinkles (forehead, between eyebrows), fine lines (around the eyes, around the mouth), structural wrinkles (under-eyes, nasolabial folds, marionette lines)

There are three types like this, and each has a different approach.

Recommended Procedure

Thermage They say that for people in their 40s, once a year is enough.

It is a method that stimulates collagen production using thermal energy, and they say the effect is felt as firmness 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure.

They say the pain in the FX version these days has decreased a lot compared to before.

Radius It is a collagen booster, and they say it works by not only producing collagen but also remodeling elastic fibers, volume, and moisture.

It is said that once a year is sufficient, and it is relatively safe because the risk of nodule side effects is low.

Botox They say that if you get muscle wrinkles treated in advance, you can prevent them from deepening.

The key is to consistently take care of the forehead, between the eyebrows, around the eyes, and the chin.

Not recommended procedure : They say it is too early for a facelift in your 40s. Since a lift involves pulling and cutting the skin, it doesn't actually restore elasticity, so it is said to be much more effective for those who have consistently received elasticity treatments to get it later.

If you do it too early, the effectiveness of the laser and collagen treatments may decrease later.

I felt like I should start doing something soon too, so I'm sharing this. Please take it as just a reference, as individual results vary!
