My Own Review: Lip Filler That Captures Both Naturalness and Volume (Comprehensive Summary of Before & After, Pain, Swelling, Side Effects, and Price Information)
[My Own Money, Real Review of Lip Fillers]
It has been such a long time since I last got lip fillers, so after much deliberation, I finally got the procedure done recently and am leaving this honest and detailed review.
I've been really worried because I often hear that my thin lips make me look a bit cold or plain.
I always struggled to create an over-lip look, especially when doing lip makeup, because I lacked volume in my cupid's bow or lower lip. Then, after hearing from those around me that just lip fillers can make the overall impression of the face much clearer and more vibrant, I finally decided to make an appointment at a clinic after much consideration.
For those of you considering lip fillers like me, I will honestly share every detail, from the time of the procedure to the cost, dosage, pain, and the daily progress and recovery process. I hope this is helpful!
- Summary of Basic Procedure Information
Date of procedure: Recently (about 2 weeks ago)
Treatment area: Entire lip (Cupid's bow, center of lower lip volume, slight corners of the mouth)
Procedure Volume & Type: 1.1cc of imported filler containing local anesthetic (creates natural volume)
Procedure Cost: Around the late 200,000 won range (Event price applied + VAT excluded)
Recovery period: Major swelling and slight bruising last for about 3 to 5 days, and the area will be completely healed after 1 week.
🔍 2. Consultation and Procedure Process
The point I emphasized most when visiting the clinic was, "I want it to look natural like my original lips, without looking artificial or exaggerated like duck lips, while also giving my lower lip a plump volume."
The director carefully examined the shape of my lips and proceeded with the consultation to enhance the contour of the cupid's bow and add natural dimension to the center of the lower lip, while matching the ratio of the upper and lower lips, the length of the philtrum, and the overall facial balance.
Anesthesia process: Before the procedure, a generous amount of anesthetic cream was applied to the entire lip, and I waited for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Pain during the procedure: Honestly, since the lips have thin skin and are a sensitive area, I was most worried about the pain. However, perhaps because the filler itself contains an anesthetic, it was much more bearable than I expected! There was only a stinging sensation and a slight dull ache, and the doctor injected the filler meticulously while checking the shape from time to time.
📸 3. Real Progress & Recovery Process by Date (Photos Attached)
▲ Day of procedure ~ Day 2 (Period when swelling and bruising are most severe)
Immediately after the procedure, I felt a tingling sensation due to the anesthesia, and my lips swelled up completely from that day until the next. If you look at the photo, you can see red marks resembling slight bruises and hematomas in the center of my lower lip and along the inner border. Due to the nature of lip fillers, needle marks, minor bruising, and swelling are inevitable for 2 to 3 days after the procedure; I found it important to gently apply ice packs and avoid spicy or hot foods during this time.
▲ Days 4–5 (Period for residual swelling to subside & exfoliation)
After the third day, the significant swelling began to completely subside, and as the filler settled into the lip tissue, the shape became much more natural. When viewed from the side, I could feel the previously flat lip line coming to life, becoming smooth and three-dimensional! However, during this period, the lip skin may become slightly dry or develop fine dead skin cells as it regenerates; I managed this by applying Vaseline or lip balm generously and frequently without picking at them.
▲ Day 10 after procedure ~ Present (Full settlement & perfect natural volume)
After about a week to ten days, the bruising and swelling completely disappeared, and I achieved the 'natural yet vibrant lips' I had exactly wanted! When viewed from the front, the lip line is neatly defined, and thanks to the filler volume, the fine lines have been smoothed out, making a complete difference in how lipstick or lip gloss looks. I am extremely satisfied because the shape of my lips has become much prettier without looking overly protruding.
⚠️ 4. Honest Review of Side Effects and Precautions
Side effects: Fortunately, there were absolutely no special side effects such as nodules (lumping), inflammation, or severe discoloration. The only issues were slight bruising and swelling for the first 2 to 3 days.
Management tips
1. Avoidance of alcohol and saunas: For at least one week after the procedure, I avoided alcohol, smoking, and using saunas to prevent inflammation.
2. Avoid lip irritation: Until the filler has fully settled, it is advisable to be careful not to rub your lips hard or suck hard on a straw.
3. Moisturizing Care: Since lips may become dry after filler treatment, applying lip balm frequently is very helpful for maintaining a hydrated look.
🌟 5. Overall Review and Recommendation
It didn't just increase the size of my lips; it naturally added volume and lines that fit my facial proportions, making my overall impression feel much brighter and softer! I highly recommend lip fillers to anyone who was hesitant about excessive procedures or was worried about flat lip lines or fine lines.
If you have any questions or inquiries regarding hospitals or costs, please leave a comment and I will do my best to answer them! I hope my review is helpful to those of you considering lip fillers!! I always get a lot of great information from Cashdoc, too!!

- 01CommentsIt is said that the duration of Botox effects can vary depending on the treatment area, the degree of muscle development, and the dosage used. Rather than blindly increasing the dosage or undergoing a re-treatment simply because the effects wear off quickly, it is important to verify the product and dosage used during the initial procedure, as well as the duration of the effect. It is also advisable to consult with a medical professional to determine the interval for re-treatments based on your individual condition.551126.10.19
- 02CommentsIt is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for a while after Botox until the injection site stabilizes. Typically, people rest on the day of the procedure and avoid high-intensity or heavy sweating workouts for about 24 hours; if there is no discomfort, they often return to their usual routine. This may vary depending on the treatment area and the clinic's instructions. If you exercise consistently 3 to 4 times a week, scheduling the procedure to coincide with a day when it is convenient to rest would be a good approach.200026.10.19
- 03CommentsI imagine you must have been satisfied to hear that not only your shoulder line but also the stiffness has decreased. Since the trapezius muscle is used extensively in daily life, it is important to consider not only the effectiveness but also any discomfort when making a decision.390126.10.16
- 01CommentsWow, I really enjoyed reading your review!! I also have a habit of frowning when looking at the monitor, so I'm worried about wrinkles between my eyebrows ㅠㅠ It's only been two weeks, but the results look so natural! Did you experience any awkward or heavy sensations when making facial expressions after the injection?603326.10.14

- 03CommentsI think a 6-month cycle is fine. It usually goes away after just 3 months. I haven't been able to go because I'm scared of the injections.503226.10.13
- 01CommentsWhen you get Botox, the movement of the muscles between your eyebrows is reduced, so you may actually become more aware of the habit of unconsciously tensing them. While the sensation of squinting while the Botox is active does not mean wrinkles will immediately deepen, the habit of repeatedly and strongly tensing the muscles between your eyebrows can affect wrinkle formation. It would be a good idea to consciously check if you are tensing your eyebrows when looking at a computer or mobile phone, and if you experience eye strain, try adjusting screen brightness or your break times as well.963326.09.29
- 02CommentsAfter receiving trapezius Botox, you may experience stiffness for about the first week due to muscle weakness. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid upper body strength training or carrying heavy bags immediately after the procedure. Once your body adapts over time, there will be no major issues with your daily life, so please take a rest for the time being. I hope your questions have been answered.541026.09.30
- 03CommentsI totally relate to yours, as my biggest worry before getting Botox was that my facial expression would look unnatural or stiff! I definitely think the most satisfying results come from just naturally smoothing out wrinkles without being too ambitious. Just not having foundation settle between my eyebrows is truly a small but significant improvement in my quality of life. 👍 Thanks for the thoughtful review!4687426.10.06
