What does it do?

Doravirine belongs to the class of non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and is used to suppress the replication of the HIV-1 virus in the treatment of infection. This agent is often combined with other antiretrovirals to enhance efficacy.

Doravirine interferes with the action of reverse transcriptase, an enzyme that HIV needs to replicate its genetic material. This prevents the virus from replicating and helps to inhibit the spread of the infection. As a result, it plays a role in slowing down the damage to the immune system.
