What does it do?

Temozolomide is an alkylating agent primarily used for the treatment of malignant tumors such as brain tumors. This compound damages the DNA of cancer cells, interfering with cell division.

Temozolomide is activated in the body to attach alkyl groups to the DNA of cancer cells, causing damage. As a result, cancer cells are unable to divide normally and ultimately undergo apoptosis.
