What does it do?

Silnidipine belongs to the calcium channel blocker class and is used to control blood pressure. It is primarily included in medications to dilate blood vessels in patients with hypertension to lower blood pressure.

Silnidipine relaxes blood vessels by blocking the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells. As a result, vascular resistance decreases, and blood pressure is lowered. It also helps control blood pressure by blocking specific calcium channels in the nervous system.
