Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), patients with sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or individuals with kidney diseases. Additionally, those with allergies to this medicine or any of its ingredients should avoid taking it. Children under 12 months, individuals with kidney stones, and patients with severe renal failure should also not take this medicine. During the treatment with this medicine, it is advisable not to take it simultaneously with medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Women who are receiving medical treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, or young babies must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. This is because the vitamin D component can be secreted into breast milk and cause hypercalcemia in newborns. Patients with heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, or hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, and individuals with a history of kidney stones should also consult a specialist before taking it. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Also, high doses of vitamin B12 can cause hematological abnormalities, so caution is needed. Overdosing on this medication may result in gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, heart failure, and edema, and long-term use may increase the risk of hypercalcemia or stone formation. Particularly, caution should be exercised when taken with certain diuretics, as this may elevate potassium levels in the blood. This medicine must be taken strictly according to the prescribed method and dosage, and it is recommended to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea before and after taking it. For storage, keep it in a sealed container to prevent air and moisture entry, and store it at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. This will help maintain the effectiveness of the medicine.
