This medicine is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy using either Candesartan Cilexetil or S-Amlodipine (Amlodipine). It helps effectively manage hypertension and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time daily (e.g., morning). - 8/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Candesartan Cilexetil 8 mg or S-Amlodipine 2.5 mg (Amlodipine 5 mg). - 16/2.5 mg: Administered to patients with Candesartan Cilexetil 16 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established for adolescents and children under 18 years of age, so administration is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn in pregnant women, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be administered to certain patients, including those with hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver impairment, patients with diabetes or severe renal impairment, patients with a history of angioedema, patients with primary hyperaldosteronism, patients with severe aortic stenosis, and patients in a state of shock. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive agents, diuretics, potassium-sparing diuretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., so if other medications are being taken, it is essential to inform the prescribing doctor, especially considering the risk of elevated potassium levels. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid the use of this medication, and if necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued. This medication is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and tachycardia may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment.
