(Hypertension, Dyslipidemia) Effect on blood pressure control and cholesterol improvement
This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension where blood pressure is not well controlled with amlodipine and valsartan combination therapy and is prescribed only when pitavastatin is also required. Amlodipine and valsartan help effectively lower blood pressure, and pitavastatin improves cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. This contributes to cardiovascular health protection and prevention of complications.
The dose is 1 tablet once daily with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., before breakfast). Administer the amlodipine/valsartan combination as follows: ㆍ5/80 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or valsartan 80 mg monotherapy. ㆍ5/160 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or valsartan 160 mg monotherapy.
