Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, patients with sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or patients with kidney function abnormalities. Additionally, those who are allergic to any component of this medication or children under the age of 12 months, as well as those with kidney stones, should avoid this medication. During the course of this medication, it is important not to take it together with medications such as phosphate, calcium salts, specific antibiotics such as tetracyclines, and antacids, as well as levodopa. Children under the age of 1, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician, children who receive ample sunlight and normal meals, women who are or could be pregnant, breastfeeding women, preterm infants and neonates, individuals with heart or circulatory issues, those with poor kidney function, those with low protein levels, and those with a history of kidney stones must consult with a physician, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal discomfort, digestive issues, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, skin rash or redness, low blood pressure, or pulmonary edema occur, the medication should be stopped immediately, and an expert should be consulted. Additionally, if menstruation occurs earlier than expected or if bleeding persists for a long time, it is advised to stop taking and consult a physician. Women taking estrogens-containing contraceptives or those at risk for thrombosis should be cautious, as the risk of thrombosis may increase with vitamin E intake. Caution is needed if pyridoxine is taken in high doses for a prolonged period (500mg to 2g daily), as neurological symptoms may appear. Taking this medication in high doses can exacerbate peptic ulcers, cause blood glucose control disturbances, increase uric acid levels, or cause liver damage. Overdose may result in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, thus caution is necessary. Particularly, when taken together with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, there is a risk of increased potassium levels in the blood. If symptoms do not improve after taking it for more than one month, expert consultation is required. This medication should be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and regimen, and when administering to children, parental supervision is essential. It is important to consult a physician or pharmacist thoroughly before taking. Additionally, this medication can cause the urine to turn yellow, affecting some clinical test results, so note this as well. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before, during, and after taking this medication. Store in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place out of children's reach to ensure quality maintenance. It is safest not to transfer it to another container.
