Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the components. When using this medication, it is necessary to be cautious as side effects such as blurriness, dryness, and keratitis may occur, along with taste abnormalities. When the eyes are red, contact lenses should not be worn, and since this medication is a non-drowsy antihistamine, temporary blurriness may occur after instillation requiring one to wait until vision returns to normal before driving or operating machinery. If undergoing long-term steroid therapy, the steroid dosage must be gradually reduced under medical supervision while using this medication. Seasonal allergy patients should start using this medication before symptoms worsen and continue until symptoms resolve. If there is no effect, long-term use should be avoided, and it should only be used as an eye drop; it should not be used as an injection or orally. During pregnancy, this medication should only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus, as adverse effects have been reported at high doses in animal experiments. While breastfeeding, since this medication may be excreted in breast milk, careful consideration should be made regarding its effects on infants. Safety for use in children under 2 years of age has not been established, so it is better to avoid use. There is no significant difference in safety and efficacy between elderly and young patients. When using, ensure that the tip of the container does not touch the eye to prevent contamination, and after opening, it should be used only once, discarding any remaining solution. When using for the first time, 1-2 drops should be discarded to remove any foreign matter in the container. Store the medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. Moreover, do not transfer it to another container to avoid misuse and maintain quality. In animal studies, no carcinogenicity or mutagenicity were observed, and it has been reported to have minimal impact on reproductive function.
