Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals with excessive calcium in their blood, those with unknown causes of systemic inflammatory diseases, or those with impaired kidney function. Additionally, individuals with allergic reactions to any of the components in this medication, infants under 12 months old, those with kidney stones, and severe renal failure patients should avoid taking this medication. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to use phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, antacids, or medications like levodopa concurrently. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Additionally, prolonged use of high doses of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) can lead to nerve damage, so caution is advised. Overdosing on this medication can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, excess sodium, heart failure, and edema, and prolonged use may cause high calcium levels and stone formation. Caution is needed when taken with certain diuretics as they may increase blood potassium levels. Furthermore, if the medication is taken in excess or if symptoms do not improve after one month of use, consultation with a professional is necessary. The prescribed methods and dosages must be strictly followed, and it is advisable to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea before or after taking this medication.
