Treatment of active duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer, improvement of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease
This medication is used for the short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers and benign gastric ulcers. It is also effective as maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence after the treatment of duodenal ulcers. This medication helps with the symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux disease and is used for short-term treatment of erosive esophagitis, as well as maintenance therapy after treating erosive esophagitis. It is used to improve issues related to the stomach and duodenum and to prevent recurrence.
This medication should be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with any other beverages besides water. It should not be chewed or crushed. 1. Short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers: 15/600 mg taken orally once daily for 4 weeks 2. Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcers: 30/600 mg taken orally once daily for 8 weeks 3.
This medication should not be used by patients who have allergies to specific components or have had such experiences in the past. Moreover, it should not be taken by patients receiving certain medications used in HIV treatment, pregnant women, or patients with severe renal impairment. Patients with a history of drug allergies or poor liver function, elderly patients, nursing mothers, and those with heart or lung problems should use this medication with caution. Severe allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, severe skin rashes or inflammation, pneumonia, and nephritis may occur; if any unusual symptoms occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication may cause nutritional deficiencies, such as vitamin B12 deficiency or hypomagnesemia, with prolonged use, thus requiring regular testing. Furthermore, this drug reduces stomach acid secretion, slightly increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bacterial infections, so notify a healthcare professional if diarrhea persists. Dizziness, drowsiness, visual disturbances, etc., may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. There are many drug interactions, so especially if you are taking antivirals, anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, certain antibiotics, and diuretics, be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist. If pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid taking this medication unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional. It is better not to use in children as safety has not been established, and elderly patients should begin with a low dose cautiously. In case of overdose, emergency measures such as gastric lavage may be necessary, so visit a hospital immediately. Store this medication out of reach of children, and do not transfer to other containers as a safety measure.
