This medication is used in patients with primary hypertension where blood pressure control is inadequate with telmisartan and amlodipine combination therapy. Additionally, rosuvastatin calcium is used as an adjunct therapy when dietary management and exercise are insufficient for controlling hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia. This drug is indicated for primary hypercholesterolemia, heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Rosuvastatin lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and assisting in dietary management for patients with type III dysbetalipoproteinemia. Furthermore, in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease, it helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reconstructive surgery. Thus, this medication improves cardiovascular health by adequately managing blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
