Iron deficiency anemia is a condition that occurs when there is a lack of iron in the body. This medication supplements iron to aid in the production of red blood cells in the blood. Therefore, it is effective in improving anemia symptoms such as fatigue and dizziness. It is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication contains iron, and accidental overdose in children under 6 years of age can result in serious poisoning and risk of death, so it must be stored out of reach of children in a safe place. This medication should not be taken by individuals with an allergy to it, babies under 12 months, or patients with hemoglobin disorders, hemosiderosis, or non-iron deficiency anemia. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should also avoid taking it. While taking this medication, do not take certain medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids at the same time. Children under 1 year, individuals receiving medical treatment, and patients with gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular dysfunctions, kidney disorders, or hypoproteinemia should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as hives, itching, hypersensitivity to light, abdominal pain, cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or coma occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Overdosing may lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, swelling, and heart failure, so caution is necessary, and there is a risk of elevated blood potassium levels when combined with certain diuretics. Adhere strictly to the dosage and administration guidelines, ensure that children are supervised by guardians while taking it, and it is advisable to avoid drinks high in tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication. Finally, store this medication in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and do not transfer it to other containers to prevent misuse.
