Treatment of male and female pattern hair loss
This medication is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss and female pattern hair loss, specifically androgenetic alopecia. Androgenetic alopecia is a type of hair loss due to hormonal changes, and this medication promotes hair growth and slows down hair loss. With consistent use, it helps prevent hair loss and improve scalp health. Therefore, it is a suitable treatment option for patients concerned about hair loss.
For men: After completely drying the hair and scalp, apply 1g (approximately half of the cap of this medication) twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected area for a minimum of 2 to 4 months. Total daily dosage should not exceed 2g. For women: After completely drying the hair and scalp, apply 1g (approximately half of the cap of this medication) once a day to the affected area for a minimum of 3 to 6 months. This medication should not be used by children under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients. People with heart or blood pressure problems should also avoid using this medication, as should those whose hair loss is not caused by genetic factors or those experiencing sudden patchy hair loss. Those with scalp conditions such as inflammation, infection, irritation, psoriasis, or sunburn should not use this medication. Additionally, it should be avoided by those currently using other scalp medications or individuals who have shaved their scalp. During the use of this medication, it should not be used with topical corticosteroids or retinoids, petrolatum, or dithranol, and care should be taken if you are taking medications that dilate blood vessels, as this may exacerbate orthostatic hypotension symptoms. Elderly individuals over 55, those with edema, or individuals with thyroid dysfunction should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as itching, red patches, rash, worsening hair loss, or pain occur while using this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a professional should be consulted. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea may occur, and cardiac symptoms such as chest pain or increased heart rate may also be seen. Additionally, respiratory difficulties, dizziness, depression, hepatitis, and swelling of the hands and feet have also been reported, necessitating caution. This medication can put a strain on the heart if misused or excessively absorbed, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Caution should also be taken if there are open wounds or severe inflammation on the scalp, as this may increase the risk of side effects. If you forget to use the medication, use it as usual at the next application, and do not double the dose. This medication is ineffective for hair loss due to specific causes or skin diseases, making it important to determine the cause of hair loss first. Excessive use may lead to serious side effects such as low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, or fluid retention, so immediate consultation with medical personnel is advised. This medication is intended for scalp use only and should avoid contact with the eyes or sensitive areas. After use, hands should be washed thoroughly, and hair styling products should be applied only after the medication has dried completely. This medication is flammable; therefore, it should be stored away from heat or flames and kept out of reach of children. It should also be stored in its original container for safety and should not be transferred to another container.
