The vitamin D contained in this medication helps prevent bone and dental growth deficiencies and bone diseases like rickets. Thus, it is used to maintain bone health and supply necessary nutrients during the growth process.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 8 years and older and adults: Take 1 tablet once a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, which is an unknown cause systemic inflammatory disease, and those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals with allergies to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months of age, patients with a history of kidney stones or severe renal failure should avoid taking this drug. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetically related lactose intolerance should not take it. During the course of this medication, it is important not to take it together with drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Infants under 1 year of age, patients currently receiving treatment from a doctor, children who receive ample sunlight and have normal diets, pregnant or nursing women, premature infants and infants, individuals with heart or circulatory problems, patients with abnormal kidney function, individuals with hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult an expert. Additionally, excessive or prolonged use of this medication may lead to hypercalcemia or kidney stones, so caution is necessary. It is especially important to be careful when used in conjunction with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as this can increase potassium levels in the blood.
