This medication is used to treat constipation, and relieve symptoms that occur due to constipation such as anorexia, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids.

How to take

Adult dose

1 to 3 tablets per dose, taken once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). Ages 15 and older: 1 to 3 tablets per dose

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15: 2/3 to 2 tablets per dose

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal diseases, intestinal obstruction, or children under 7 years of age. Furthermore, since this medication contains lactose, individuals with lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or genetic issues such as glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. It is advisable not to take this medication together with antacids or milk within 1 hour after consumption. Individuals experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, people currently on other medications, those on sodium-restricted diets, and individuals with a history of rectal bleeding or intestinal failure should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, or cramps occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, if constipation does not improve after taking this medication for about 1 week, you should stop taking it and consult a doctor. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration while giving it to children under the supervision of a guardian. In particular, children under 10 years old should avoid usage unless specifically needed. When taking, do not chew the tablets; swallow them whole, and avoid prolonged use beyond 1 week as it may lead to drug tolerance and worsen constipation. After use, store out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed. Finally, to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication, do not transfer it to another container.
