Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney conditions. Additionally, it should be avoided by individuals allergic to this medication or any of its components. Infants under 3 months or patients with kidney stones should also refrain from using this medication. This medication contains lactose, so it is not suitable for patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During treatment with this medication, do not simultaneously take levodopa. Infants under 1 year, patients currently undergoing treatment by a physician, children who are exposed to sunlight and have normal diets, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and infants should consult a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist before use. Special caution is required since vitamin D can be secreted into breast milk, possibly causing hypercalcemia in newborns. Consultation is also necessary for individuals with a history of kidney stones. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, oral inflammation, constipation, loss of appetite, skin rash, itching, or swelling occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Moreover, prolonged use of high doses of pyridoxine may lead to peripheral nervous system issues, and patients deficient in folate may experience blood abnormalities from excessive vitamin B12 intake. High doses may exacerbate peptic ulcers and cause glucose tolerance impairment, hyperuricemia, and liver damage, so caution is necessary. If overdosed or if symptoms do not improve after a month of use, consult a specialist immediately. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed method and dosage, and supervision from a guardian is required when administered to children. Urine may change to a yellow color upon ingestion, which could affect clinical test results. For storage, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry, airtight place. Additionally, to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication, do not transfer it to another container.
