The 100/1000 mg controlled-release tablet should be taken once daily, one tablet at a time. This medication is used for the treatment of diabetes, and caution should be exercised as some patients may experience serious allergic reactions. Symptoms of acute pancreatitis may occur while taking this medication, so it is important to closely monitor for symptoms such as abdominal pain or vomiting. This medication should not be used in patients with severely impaired renal function or specific diseases such as acute heart failure or myocardial infarction. Moreover, the use of this medication should be temporarily discontinued before and after tests involving radiopaque agents, and it should only be restarted after confirming normal kidney function. It is advisable not to use this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as its safety has not been established in these populations. This medication can cause hypoglycemia, so regular meals and adjustment of exercise and medication intake are necessary, and immediate action should be taken if symptoms of hypoglycemia occur.
