This medication is used to treat constipation and also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, intestinal fermentation abnormalities, and hemorrhoids caused by constipation. It improves bowel health and smooth digestive function, effectively alleviating symptoms.
Ages 15 and older: 1 to 2 tablets per dose, taken 3 times daily after meals. The dosing interval should be at least 4 hours. For the initial dose, take the minimum amount and gradually adjust the dosage based on the form and consistency of the stool.
This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal diseases or bowel obstructions. Also, it is advisable not to take this medication within one hour after consuming antacids or milk. Those with severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, individuals taking other medications, those on sodium-restricted diets, and individuals with a history of rectal bleeding or bowel failure must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication contains the ingredient Yellow No. 4 and caution should be exercised by individuals who are allergic to this component. If rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, or cramps occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. Moreover, if constipation does not improve after about a week of use, discontinue and consult a doctor. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, and it is preferable for children under 10 years old not to take this medication unless specifically required. When taking this medication, do not chew the tablets; swallow whole. Long-term use can lead to tolerance and worsening constipation, thus it should not be taken continuously for more than a week. If daily laxatives are necessary, it is crucial to investigate the underlying cause of constipation accurately.
