Relief of excess stomach acid and heartburn
This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms such as excess stomach acid, heartburn, and belching.
For individuals aged 16 years and older, it can be administered at a dose of 1 tablet (10 mg) once, up to 2 tablets (20 mg) per day. This medication can be placed on the tongue to dissolve with saliva or taken with water.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who have allergies to certain ingredients or hypersensitivity to H2 receptor antagonists. Additionally, individuals with a genetic disease called phenylketonuria should avoid this medication due to the aspartame it contains. Anyone with difficulty swallowing food or experiencing pain, or those who have vomiting blood or blood in their stools must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If heartburn persists for more than three months, or if dizziness, drowsiness, or cold sweats occur simultaneously, it’s advisable to consult a healthcare professional. If you experience chest or shoulder pain with shortness of breath or frequent chest pain, you must consult a healthcare provider before taking this medication. If you notice unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or similar symptoms, consult a doctor before use. Caution is also needed for those already taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with a history of drug allergies. Patients with kidney, heart, or liver problems, elderly patients, and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. There may be drug interactions with certain antifungals or anticancer medications, so be sure to inform your healthcare provider if you are taking such medications. Immediately stop taking this medication and consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen, and do not take it continuously for more than 14 days. Should you experience allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, muscle pain, heart problems, mental or neurological issues, gastrointestinal problems, kidney issues, or respiratory issues during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. This medication may mask the symptoms of stomach cancer, so it is better to use it temporarily and solely for symptom relief. Do not take it with alcoholic beverages, and consult a doctor or pharmacist if you notice any changes in your body condition after taking it. Patients undergoing dialysis should be cautious as the effectiveness of this medication may be reduced when taken with phosphate binders. Keep out of reach of children and store it in its original container to help preserve quality and prevent misuse.
