This medication is used to relieve symptoms of heartburn and indigestion caused by excessive stomach acid.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and patients aged 15 years and older: Take 1 tablet of this medication once a day. Do not exceed 2 tablets within 24 hours.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used by patients with a genetic disorder that affects lactose digestion. Additionally, it should not be used if there are allergic reactions to this drug or similar medications. Patients who have difficulty swallowing should avoid taking this medication. Patients with unexplained weight loss or ongoing abdominal pain should use this medication with caution, as other conditions may be present; consulting a doctor is necessary. Patients with kidney disease must check their blood calcium levels. If taking other medications, it is essential to consult a professional before using this drug. While taking this medication, allergic reactions or abnormal liver function may rarely occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or diarrhea may appear, and constipation, decreased appetite, and abdominal discomfort may occur rarely. Skin reactions such as rash, itching, and hives may appear, and very rarely, skin peeling may occur. Symptoms such as headache, fatigue, jaundice, hepatitis, edema, joint pain, and muscle cramps may also appear, so caution is advised. If symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use, discontinue the medication and consult a doctor; it is recommended not to use it for more than 2 weeks. If an overdose occurs, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. Patients undergoing hemodialysis may experience reduced effectiveness when taking this drug along with phosphate binders. The antacids contained in this medication can interact with various other drugs, so it is advised to take them at least 2 hours apart from others. In particular, concurrent use with other gastrointestinal medications may increase the risk of side effects, so they should not be taken together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medication, and nursing mothers should also avoid it because it can be transmitted to the baby. Children under 15 years old should consult a doctor before taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Also, it is important not to transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
